she calls it a disorder and compares it to pedophilia. I used to love her work; I was absolutely horrified to found out she thought like this. It hurts to think I spent all this time adoring her art when she says people like me are ‘wrong’.

That’s terrible. While it might target your group, it’s not targetting you as an individual. I think it’s truly unfair for her, I mean. You clearly love her art but now you’re judging it based on her personal views—that has absolutely nothing to do with the art itself. It’s like when people knock down celebrities for saying stupid shit about politics. When their skills lie in singing, or acting.

It’s just an opinion. Everyone has one, and sometimes you will encounter ones that hurt you or put you off. Plenty of other people in the world share the same opinion and plenty don’t. If you enjoy her art you should keep enjoying it regardless.

 By your logic, if some guy openly admits to think of women as objects or sex holes or sandwich machines, I, as a women, should accept it, because hey, it’s not insulting me, it’s insulting ‘women’, right? That makes it acceptable! That means I should just ~*~respect his point of view~*~  right? After all he’s targeting my group, not me!

I’m black, and my teacher just said that blacks shouldn’t hang out with whites. But it’s okay! Who cares if she thinks I’m wrong for being who I am? I should remain silent, because she’s targetting blacks, not ‘me’. Who cares if I’m black anyway! Yeah, right? Racism is perfectly okay!

Do you know what’s unfair?  To deny an human being such as a gay person or a lesbian girl the right to feel NORMAL. Right now thousands of little kids are being bullied because they’re gay, lots of teenagers are hanging themselves, overdosing and cutting their wrists open because of people like YOU, who protect the ones who are against homosexual people. Keyword: PEOPLE. Human beings, sentient beings. That IS unfair. Ruining someone’s life IS unfair. Not posting something in a artist confessions blog.

Excuse me. No. No. What the… Homophobia is NOT a personal view. Is a phobia, a irrational hate towards sentient beings. That is not okay. This is not about finding someone with another opinion or feeling “hurt”. This is about people SUFFERING, people who are cutting their skin right now, teenagers bullied until they kill themselves because they literally CANNOT stand their lifes anymore. How is hating a group of human beings who want nothing but the same rights as other people AN OPINION? What the actual fuck. So, now racism is an opinion, because I’m entitled to hate white, black, brown skinned people. It’s just an opinion, right? It’s okay to treat men or women like shit. So what? It’s an opinion! Right?

“I like red” is a opinion. “I like night better than daytime”, here, another.
But “Gay people want to have sex with little babies and are just sick people”  is NOT an opinion. It’s an ignorant comment from someone who clearly hasn’t taken their time to check to a biology book and realize that we all have nervous sistem, we all have a brain, and we can feel and because of that, we should have the respect we deserve.

I’m so proud that many people can see hope in themselves and in their work, by doing this simple meme. Many people I come across, they say they didn’t think they would improve so much, until they recreated one of their past pieces. Their shock and sudden smack of hope, right in the face, just inspires them to keep going. No matter how drastically they have improve, or how little they have; the possibility is there and will continue to be there.

I’m so proud. Keep at it, you’re all amazing.
